What inspired the name for the band? Why and how so?

“50 Amp Fuse is a lyric from the song by the Stones called You Can’t Always Get What You Want. Because there are a total of 12 members in the band, we have varying numbers performing at any given gig which at full capacity with all 12 playing together. It becomes electric with high energy and enough to blow a 50 amp fuse!!”

Where are some recent venues to highlight where you’ve played?

“We played the balloon fest over the summer at the end of the season and there was a capacity of people that attended that day in the thousands. The bands, a great draw we just recently played a local establishment called Darby O’Gills a couple of weeks ago brought in at least 150 people just to see the reformation of the band and its new members being. We have several gigs coming up, depending on where they’re located and what they can accommodate for the size of the number of members in this band we can have anywhere from six or seven to total of nine at any given date or time. We really bring the horn section in on the bigger venues such as outdoor events or larger stage capacity.”

What makes your band different and unique in its own right?

“What makes his band unique is that we’re not trying to be imitators of the Rolling Stones we’re really complementing the music of the band. And most of the musicians in the band are all season players and have been playing for well over 20 to 30 years or more. It’s great material and a great way to express a good time.”

What is the dynamic on and off set? What is the routine?

“Dynamics can vary, but the routine is that we get together couple times a month tighten up the material with the new musicians that are on board and then move forward with song selections from a very extensive catalog of the Rolling Stones. It’s definitely a group decision on what material we’re going to work on next as long as everybody is of the same consensus will pick the material as a group.”

If you could work with any current or historic figure in the music world and industry, who are you choosing to work with and why?

“I would’ve loved to work with either Stevie Ray Vaughan, Prince, Freddie Mercury from Queen. All great musicians in their own right would love to be involved with the creative process.”

Where can we hear your music, and why should we? What makes you an iconic band?

“Ben will be performing in Geneva’s blues house Southern barbecue on Hooker Avenue in Poughkeepsie March 29. If you want to have a great time reminiscing with some good music, she can dance to that would be the place grade 5 great attitude just good music.”

Questions For The Photographer-

What are your thoughts regarding this band and the photos taken?

“I had done some work with this band previously and as soon as I got there noticed it was new line up. From the original players, only the drummer and 2 female singers were left. I am not saying this is a band thing, just was surprised, they try to stay true to form to the amazing rolling stones songs they do, and I love hearing the two female background singers. they also added a percussionist which was a nice touch…I was a bit worried about how the photos would come out since it was kind of dark in there, but I did my magic and, in the end, came out pretty good.”

Would you recommend?

“Anyone who enjoys the music of the Rolling Stones will LOVE this band I highly recommend you go out to see and hear them.”
