What inspires your musical work daily?
Roger: “I was taught classical piano at a young age of seven. It’s about 16. I picked up bass guitar from 16 to the present. Music’s always been in my life, now that I’m semi-retired. I found time for this project. It’s been six years, with a regrouping in the past three years playing locally. Having music at an early age has made it a part of my everyday routine.”
Lee Bailey: “Life is my inspiration.”
Ed: ” Hearing music in my head, knowing I have to play, or I lose technique, & being prepared for the projects I’m involved with.”
Craig H. “The fact I’m able to play and create music that people respond to.”
Liliane Brown: “I am an artist at my core and my creativity ebbs and flows like the rhythms of the earth and tides.”

What is the routine on and off stage for your band?
Roger: “I play with 30-year musicians; we all do our homework. We get together once a week to go over arrangements, new songs, vocals, extras, etc., managing Facebook and Instagram to get the good word out, bringing real rock ‘n’ roll to the forefront again.”
Lee Bailey: “On stage, we are all about the energy coming from us and coming from the crowd. Off stage, we have become good friends with a great respect for each other.”
Ed: “Try to communicate, listen, be prepared.”
Craig H. “Try not to stumble, if so, make it part of the dance.”

What are some interesting venues you’ve played?
Roger: “We started out in olives in Nyack in 2022. We have played open mics at various places in the county, and we played the Garnerville Art Center Festival. With their $500,000 mobile stage also, we are in regular rotation for the following: The Parkside Tavern Pearl River, the Growler and Gill (closed) in Nanuet, Calabria in Orangeburg, and Sutters Mill in Suffern. Everyone always wants us back because we have a unique sound with Lily. She’s a powerhouse.”
Lee Bailey: “I’ve played many different types of venues from private parties to a gig at a minor league baseball stadium during a game. Various clubs with very diverse crowds.”
Ed: “”The Facade” in Revere Massachusetts, playing in a top 40 band in the 80’s being Laundry for the mob.”
Craig H. “On the Green for golf outings.”
Liliane Brown: “Loved playing the truck stage at Garner Arts Festival!”

If you could share your musical creations with the world, which ones are you sharing today? Why and how so?
Roger: “The original rock ‘n’ roll songs and ballads that we play were composed by a well-known local musician, Drew STILES, from the original lineup of our band, which was ” Jayzeuss Gwackamoly.” He was a part of the band as the frontman at the time, from 2019 to 2022, when he left for LA to pursue the acoustic version of his singer-songwriter versions of his songs. The music is unique and is kind of a mix of James Brown and the Eagles with a little bit of Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, and the Rolling Stones. Recall it EARTH PHUNK. The original concept is a psychedelic journey of oneself. There are 15 or 18 original songs that are designed to play at a higher level. The music is different from any ordinary block-style songwriting. It pulls you in like a snake charmer charms the snake you’re never bored not even halfway through with the songs, they all capture the audience and bring back the real feeling of rock ‘n’ roll, which is needs to come back to the forefront of today’s music scene. The music is fun and feel-good. Everybody needs to feel good.”
Lee Bailey: “The original songs we are doing are as diverse as we are. Savior Faire is my favorite right now. Lots of energy and a great groove.”
Ed: “Usually the most current compositions or older ones that can feel fresh again. Play them on gigs & put them up for streaming.”
Craig H.: “Most of the Drew Stiles songs we’ve been interpreting because we have been playing his original songs for a few years and haven’t met him yet.”

Can you identify and describe your musical style?
Roger: “The music style of the band is regular rock ‘n’ roll with a bit of funk space in there a twist and a little sprinkle of jazz. We’re all inspired by rock ‘n’ roll greats like Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Floyd, old jazz standards so there’s a mix of instrumental COVER SONGS like walking on the moon by the police, which bring out a spacey psychedelic feeling.”
Lee Bailey: “My style of playing has evolved from many different inspirations. I like to think I have developed my own style and personality.”
Ed: “Versatile, many influences in one, improvisation, groove.”
Craig H.: “Passionate, Groovy, Rocking, and in ‘the Pocket.'”
Liliane Brown: “I am like if you took one part Tina Turner, one part Whitney Houston, and two parts India. Arie, make sure to bake for 22 minutes at 333 degrees and let it cool before breaking off a piece.”
Where can we hear more from your music and band, and why should we? What makes your music iconic?
Roger: “You can hear more of our music through our Facebook page Liliane 🌟💫✨ Brown and groove cat also on roof cat 845. There are more songs coming out soon to the Facebook page and you should listen to him because it’s different than any other music today is all electronic and auto tune. This is bringing it back real rock ‘n’ roll. Sound guitar sound with the vocals of Liliane 🌟💫✨ Brown with her jazz style and R&B flavor really pulls people in. We have enough material to record albums and tracks which are coming up soon so there’s only snippets and clips of from the shows on the Facebook page nevertheless good stuff on there. It’s also important to note that the songs that we play in terms of covers are not played by other bands.”
Lee Bailey: “You can find where we are playing through the various social media platforms. What makes us iconic is as a group the way we complement each other, the groove we lay down and the power of the vocals!”
