Interview with Body

For readers discovering Body for the first time, how would you describe the band and the creative project behind it?

“Everything starts with a simple idea and a dream to see the idea grow and move. There’s much space for the dream to take the song where it needs to go. & then of course the practical issue of working on and producing it.”

Your website describes Body as something that began in 2024. What was happening at that point that ultimately led to the creation of the band?

“I was extremely active with music for many years with my old band hot hot heat. It was the self defined central story of my life for a long time. I took a break to raise children. I always felt I had something to say and contribute.”

What does the name Body mean to you, and how did you decide that it was the right name for the project?

“Body is many things to me, but a body can be different things. Everyone has a body. There are bodies of work and bodies of government. Food & drink have body. Bodies of water. I’m like the head and the limbs of this Body.”

Where can we hear more, and why should we?

“The Body EP was released in May of 2025 and I have released a new song on the 1st of every subsequent month. I do not plan to stop. Why should you listen? I suppose you should only listen if you feel compelled to. There’s quite a few options.”
