Edition Twenty-Three – Week Twenty-Three:

Written by: Mercedes Barreto

What are your musical aspirations for the future?

“One day, perform at Madison Square Garden, TD Garden, Sofi Stadium, and many more big music venues! That would be a dream come true.”

Who is an inspiration you believe will be crucial to your success moving forward? Why so?

“My boyfriend, Daniel Madeson, and my friend Victor Ramirez are big inspirations and helped me open my eyes that music is the direction I need to go. In addition, my voice coach Samantha Cole is a huge inspiration because of her past success, and she pushes me to do my best! They are all very talented and hard-working musicians that I greatly admire!”

Where do you envision yourself, if this might be a new venue, or any other exciting establishment, one that has hooked you or piqued your interest, in which you see exciting future opportunities?

“I see myself gigging a lot in a few years, having many more singles and an album released on all music platforms. I am mainly gigging around Westchester County and Fairfield County area as a start and spread out to states and travel around the world, going on tour with my band, SplatterHead and myself as an individual artist. I am auditioning for this upcoming season’s The Voice! In addition, I want to audition for other live reality singing TV shows.”

What is the progress you have seen from before to now and into the future?

“I’ve been working so hard to get to the success I want to be. I’ve been getting voice lessons, writing more songs, and getting to the release process. My band and I are having our first gig on January 28th at Black Barrel Records, Shelton, CT, at 7 pm. I have my first gig on January 20th, 7-9 pm, at Pueblo Viejo in Carmel, NY. January 22nd, I’ll be performing at an acoustic event at Tequila Escape, Ridgefield, CT, from 4-6 pm. I got another gig on February 18th, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm at Rosy’s Tomorrow in Danbury, CT. Still in the process of getting more gigs lined up. I’ve been going to a bunch of restaurants and handing them my business cards. Mostly spring and summertime, I’ll be all over the place doing gigs by myself and with SplatterHead. I have also been practicing guitar and piano, so I can eventually accompany myself for gigs. My friend Jess Plude accompanies me for gigs; she is super talented with her instruments and harmonizing.”

Who would you like to thank personally for your success down the road and up ahead?

“My boyfriend, Daniel Madeson, for being my rock, supportive, and believing in me. My friend Victor Ramirez for writing instrumentals for a few of the songs I wrote. My voice coach Samantha Cole for also believing in me, giving me good singing techniques, and giving me
performance opportunities that I hope for many more! Lastly, Jess Plude for joining me in gigs by playing the guitar/piano/harmonizing. You are all the best!”

What is the most exciting thing you are looking forward to in your near future? Why and how so?

“I’m excited to finally get out there to a gig/perform and release all my music for people to see who Jessi Rose is. I want my dreams and success to come true so badly, and I’m working hard to get to where I want to be. I’m ready to be the next big thing!”
