What are your main goals, or what is your main focus within your photography business?

“Get as many clients as possible with special events, concerts, sporting events, portraits, and couples/family photoshoots.”

Where does your inspiration lie through each photo session? What things or elements stand out?

“Well, my Aunt AnnMarie was a photographer with concerts and weddings, so it was inspiring watching her do that. When I went to college, I took photography classes and never thought I could become a natural with it. So that’s when it became a part of my bachelor’s degree in arts.”

Where was your first photography job? Is it significant in some way? Why and how so?

“My first photography job was as a school yearbook portrait photographer with Lifetouch, now called Shutterfly. I still work for the company as a seasonal sports photographer for the high school’s yearbook, which I love a lot!”

If you could work today with two top of the line photography industry professionals, whom would you pick, and why?

“I would love to be a concert photographer for famous musicians traveling on tour with them and a sports photographer for professional athletes traveling to their games. Those are my most vital areas, and my favorite type of photography is concerts and sports.”

What is a situation in which you had to improvise? Did this have the outcome you expected when photographing the client in question?

“With photography, you can improvise by showing your creativity. For example, when I did newborn photography in hospitals, there was little background, so I took a clean white bed sheet and used it to make it look like the family was in a professional studio, not a hospital.”
