Can we hear God’s word?
Previously we introduced you to an incredible author, Keith Lake, and his mission with God, in this news column publication. Sometimes, what we perceive to be our misfortune are blessings, and even miracles in disguise.
“When you least want the help, God is there to grant you what you truly need.”
If we can receive divine miracles in different shapes, forms, and sizes, then we are surely blessed. Yet do we truly achieve hearing God’s all-knowing word?
“David set the Bible down.
**”Now, let me ask you all something.”** He looked at each person in the room.
**”Have any of you ever asked the Lord to be your Savior?”**
Silence.
A few shook their heads. **Sharon’s eyes were moist, Levi looked down, and Danny
wiped his face with his sleeve.**
David took a deep breath. **”If you want to be saved, I will lead you in prayer.
Just pray along with me—but make it your own words. Speak from your heart.”**
Heads bowed. **The room was still.**
David prayed: **”Lord, I know I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins
and rose again. I ask You to come into my heart, forgive me, and save me. Thank
You, Lord, for Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”**
Sometimes a miracle or even a blessing can come in disguise. However, it takes true devotion to go farther than a prayer received, beyond blessings and even miracles, to hear God’s word.
