Sometimes, a mere connection can lead to the best of musical interpretations, collaborations, and experiences. In this guided rising talent article, DeemRaw and Prince Binji give us the ultimate insight into their team effort in the music business. Please read up on their latest works.

What was your first collaboration like? What can best describe the atmosphere at that very moment? What was the musical focus?

Prince Binji- “Our first collaboration experience was a fun learning experience for me. DeemRaw dropped a lot of good jewels on me, which made me better as an artist, and I carried this with me through my musical career. The atmosphere is full of joy, good vibes, and what we call ‘lit crunk.’ The focus was to do a great job rapping, besides as artists with a better understanding and perspective about music.”

DeemRaw- “Our first collaboration was genuine. Since we were already homies, it wasn’t forced, so there was a connection and vibe right away. The atmosphere was full of team spirit (that means weed) but full of energy, and we made our first song called ‘Gucci Slide’ (which we switched to ‘G-Slide’ due to copyright issues.”

If you could best describe your first encounter, how would you describe it?

Prince Binji- “Our first encounter was super legit and super lit. When we clicked, we just hung out that night, touring different parts of the country. The rest is history.”

DeemRaw- “The first time I met Binji, it was good. There were big vibes, and we agreed there would be no point without a connection. However, we were vibing. That was 4-5 years ago, and we are homies today.”

What do you believe has led you to meet, and do you think this is relevant to your music today? Why and how so?

Prince Binji- “God and faith. We have been through some struggles, and we both have come to a better place to build a better life for ourselves. This is relevant because there would have never been any PrinceRaw today if we had never met. God has brought us together for a reason.”

DeemRaw- “God works in mysterious ways. Honestly, it was meant to happen. That’s why we still get along to this day. It’s authentic, and that connects us to the music. We came from a similar background, despite the differences in neighborhood/country.”

How do you feel you have both grown musically, and have you aided each other in that process?

Prince Binji- “I have grown a lot from my rapping style and how I used to record. DeemRaw has aided me in picking my voice and spot; while I record, I used to stand in front of the microphone. Now, I have found a side that I choose most, which is more comfortable for me. With DeemRaw’s help, I have grown in followers, views, and subscribers. I’m also very grateful for these tips since no one has helped me but him.”

DeemRaw- “Without a doubt, I see growth from then to now. This is not only with our sound but regarding how we say specific phrases and our beat selection. We gave each other tips on what to do and what not to do. We gave each other different perspectives. We both contributed different ideas and tips to each other.”

How would you describe each other? What is music to you, and friendship, not just in life but in music-making?

Prince Binji- “DeemRaw is a natural-born hustler, and I am as well. So, we brought our hustle game to the table and made song after song. Music is my life, passion, and sport. I have been into music since I was a kid. But friendship is more than just music. We do a lot together.”

DeemRaw- “We are like two kings with a lot of ambition. We hustle, we are authentic, and we are solid individuals. Two sum this up on both ends, music is therapy to me. It has helped me, and the world got three times tougher. Music is also an excellent venting mechanism, mainly because I don’t like sharing what I’m going through. I use music to get things off of my chest. Music plays a massive role in my life.”

What song would best exemplify your collaboration with the public? Why and how so?

Prince Binji- “‘Gritty flow’ and ‘Rich Life.’

The life that’s where we are now and where we have come from. It’s where we are headed. Music is real life; It tells real-life struggles and feelings concerning real people.”

DeemRaw- “I would have to say the song, ‘Rich Life.’ This is because we both come from third-world countries, where most people don’t have money for their next meal. Therefore, being in this situation and being able to sustain our families simultaneously means a lot.”
