Puppets For Hire- Great Way To Connect (Rising Musicians & Band) (January 2022)

What is the future of music? Does it mean finding an outlet to discover, whether that may be in a digital or live setting? Puppets For Hire is a band that signifies the future of our music. You can witness their humble beginnings in this guided and quite informative article.

When did this all start, and how so? Was it a spontaneous commence, or music bound destiny?

“Our band was formed in December of 2019. One of our friends worked at a café that was hosting a party, and the store owner told her that he wanted a band to play at the party. She said: “Sure I have a band!”. There was no band. She created a group chat with herself and five other people: a drummer, bassist, keyboardist, guitarist, and lead singer. Everyone agreed to create a band for this one gig. We started rehearsing multiple times a week, building a set for this performance. The gig went on very well! After that performance, we decided to stay together and continue as a band. Since then, four members left for college, and have been replaced by new members.”

What is a song you feel most resonates with the crowd? Why and how so?

“Love Shack by the B-52’s seems to always be a crowd favorite because of how the audience is able to participate by clapping and stomping their feet.”

If you could pick two top venues of choice to perform in the entire world, regardless of setting or time, where would that be, and why?

“Red Rocks because it is iconic and scenic, and The Colosseum because not even the Beatles have played it!”

What is in store for 2022? What will define the highlight of your success?

“We have some exciting new things coming up. We are starting to write original music, and are also working on building our setlist for longer gigs.”

What is music to you?

“Music is a great way to connect with all kinds of people and make new friends.”

Do the photos taken reflect the youthful perspective in the music portrayed, or then what do you perceive as a photographer with this group?

“When I heard and saw this group of young musicians I was blown away by their energy, professionalism, musicianship and their overall confidence while they performed….I love when I get a chance to photograph a young band, they are the future of live music.”

Did you enjoy this shoot and why? Would you shoot again?

“I LOVED this shoot. They played songs that have been in my list of favorites for years. When they started playing it was hard to not just put my camera down and stand there in awe watching and listening to them perform, and I really hope I get to work with them again.”
