What is your motivation to create R&B music daily?

“I don’t just do R&B. I’m influenced by Pop, Rock, Hip – Hop, Country & R&B. My latest project is focused on R&B. I don’t ever want to be put in a box because I make whatever I am influenced by at the moment. I decided to record this project, “R&B is NOT DEAD,” because I feel that the current state of R&B music is in crisis. Everyone sounds the same; everyone is heavily auto-tuned, and there is no creativity. My music is a mix of live instrumentation & real vocals.”

Who or what inspires you to make music? Why and how so?

“I am old-school influenced—the 60’s, 70’s,80’s & 90’s. I am obsessed with Motown & everything from the 80’s. Prince, Micheal Jackson, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Boy George & Wham. The artists of today that move me are Beyonce & Bruno Mars! They are the last well-rounded artists of today.

I like artists that are creative and can perform live!”
