What inspired the name southern stew?

“We wanted to represent the Origins of Southern Rock in our Band name that’s where Southern came from. Stew represents the band members and the different talents we all have. Southern Stew has the perfect blend of talent to be able to play the Southern Rock Music we play. The ingredients if you will…”

What is the band’s top 3 favorite venues performed?

“We recently Played Stanhope House which was a really fun place to play with a lot of amazing players over the years gracing that stage. That was definitely one of our favorites. We also love to play Blue Arrow Farm and Warwick Valley Winery.”

If the band could perform in any 2 countries not yet visited, where would they play?

“England because of the amazing music that came from that Country and Italy.”

What are 4 songs the band feels most resonates with the listening audience?

“Freebird, Sweet Home Alabama, Green Grass and High Tides and Flirting with Disaster.”

Who are 3 executives in the industry the band would be honored to play with?

“Derek Trucks, Eric Clapton and Artimus Pyle.”

“Southern Stew is committed to playing the songs in our repertoire with respect and honor to the bands that we cover. We all grew up listening to this music it’s part of our childhoods. It’s the soundtrack of our youth. The bands that we cover deserve to be respected. If you come to one our shows you will hear the songs as they are meant to be heard. We play with Passion and Love for the Southern Rock Music Genre. We hope to see you out there in 2024.”

What is it like taking pictures for a southern rock band?

“I really enjoyed working with this band. I love bands with two great lead guitarists, they also have two female background singers which is unusual for a local band like this. It was also my first time shooting a band at this venue and was very happy with the Lights and Stage, made for much better photos.”

Would you vouch for them? Why and how so?

“I most definitely would vouch for these guys. They play very authentic southern rock and have a great stage presence.”
