Steamboat STARS mission is to empower and enrich lives through adaptive recreational activities. Through teamwork, determination, and lots of caring devotion, the organization successfully establishes a connection and the foundation for disabled athletic learning.

If you could describe the awesome sensations and efforts of this year 2021 so far, and those achievements of helping others, what are the first things that come to mind regarding such at Steamboat STARS?
“2020 & 2021 has been a challenge for everyone in the world. 2020 has shown us how to be adaptive in new ways. The highlights from 2021 were vast. STARS was able to successfully & safely run our winter programs & help serve our purpose in adaptive sports. To (Empower and Enrich Lives Through Adaptive Recreation)”

Has Covid had an impact on daily operations at Steamboat STARS? How so?

“All operations at Steamboat STARS have adjusted & changed to meet guidelines for Covid-19 all year. With strong efforts & following all precautions, we were able to still serve participants with our mission!”

Has the reach at your organization grown in size and numbers? If so, how has the establishment been able to grow and continue to provide these athletic services for the disabled, more and more each time?
“Adaptive sports are important & help change peoples lives. We are always working to spread & raise awareness about this. We have been able to grow & continue to share our love for adaptive recreation with individuals in our programs.”

What do participating athletes say when actively involved in and about the available programs, before and after being included?

“New Participants become a new person when they leave our programs. Empower & enriching these individuals to Believe in themselves by seeing what’s possible. Returning participants always conclude a program at a peak high & love getting more involved with STARS. That’s the Power of Possible.”

If you could describe the positive lessons learned at Steamboat STARS by participants, what are 3 words that describe such?

“Empowering, Eye-opening, and Enriching.”
