What inspired the band’s name?

“The inspiration came from the great music of the four artists we covered.”

Why and how so?

“When we were putting the band together, people would ask us what type of music we played. When we would tell them about Steely Dan, Sting, Stevie Wonder, and Gino Vannelli, they would say, “Wow!” “That’s GOOD STUFF!” The wife suggested Good Stuff, and we brought the idea to the band, and they all gave the thumbs up. Also, there is a tune on Donald Fagen’s “Sunken Condos” album called Good Stuff, so the name is pretty appropriate to the Tribute.”

Where do you envision the band in a few years? In terms of musical success?

“We are on a pretty good trajectory and have been lucky to be performing in such great venues for the short time we’ve been together. We are currently playing some larger venues and have a lot of original material that we would eventually like to bring into our sets. In a few years, the goal is to continue producing a great-sounding show, bringing in some of our material and performing at great venues nationwide.”

What is a recent release that the band feels most resonates with the listening audience?

“As for any recent live tribute stuff, we just put out three videos, including “AJA” by Steely. Dan, performed by GOOD STUFF at Lucy’s Pleasantville, NY, and “Time Out Of Mind” by Steely Dan, performed by GOOD STUFF, at Tim McLoone’s Supper Club, Asbury Park, NJ, and “The Nightfly” by Donald Fagen at River Street Jazz Cafe, Plains, PA.”

Why do you believe your band has grown as it has?

“If you play great music to make every note count for the audience and create a good vibe with the venues and the fans of the music, the result is always successful.”

If you could play anywhere in the world, where would you play?

“We have GOOD STUFF fans in England who ask us if we would ever come there, and we are all for going to England and maybe other parts of Europe. The West Coast of the USA would be lovely as well.”

Questions For The Photographer:

What is your favorite part of this photoshoot with the band? Why and how so?

“My favorite part was getting to say hello in person to Mike and the guys again, I worked with them before and loved THE BAND, and Mike and I have become good friends, not to mention how authentic their sound is to the original songs.”

Do you recommend Good Stuff to venues in future terms and across the board?

“I HIGHLY recommend GOOD STUFF to any music venue that wants to hire a good band with excellent musicians and let me add, I shoot a lot of bands; these guys even start on time, which is not the norm.”
