In Uganda, over 3.2 million children are orphaned or abandoned, facing a future filled with hunger, disease, and a lack of opportunities. Many of these children live on the streets, with no access to education, healthcare, or even a safe place to call home. This is where you can make a difference. Here is part one of testimonials by the children assisted at Wilma Fox Children Centre.

What is your dream?

NATUMANYA JONAS- “Am called Natumanya Jonas and my dream is to become evangelist in order to feed people both spiritually, economically, and socially through preaching the gospel, feeding the orphan, providing shelter to shelterless people and also providing money to poor families in order for their improvement in standard of living.”

AINEMBABAZI SHARON- “My name is Ainembabazi Shelton am in senior four am 17-years old. My dream is to become a nurse in a teacher in order to help children to receive education services through me. I want to make sure I teach children and direct them towards their dreams and visions in order to eliminate illiteracy.”

How does Wilma Fox Child make a difference?

NATUMANYA JONAS- “Wilma fox child make a difference due to provision of scholastic materials like books, pens, sets, uniform. At first I was seen as a left person but it made a difference of Wilma Fox to provide me some scholastic materials for support of my education.”

AINEMBABAZI SHARON- “Wilma Fox Child makes me difference because the school is acting as my home place where I can receive everything. I want even if I am not with my parent, I go in the class every day with a uniform, with books and pens and receive the content that may direct me to my dream. I have been helped by Wilma fox, were my parent couldn’t manage to take me I have reached there through supporting me in paying school fees and many others.”

What is your message?

NATUMANYA JONAS- “The message for the leaders is all about thanking you for your support due for us to be great people in both community, country and worldwide. Due to your difference and the power of your support it has made us to come with great visions, missions, goals and objectives for the good kindness, goal orientation and through self-confidence to achieve our targeted goals. All what matters is to say that thank you our beloved leaders for the purpose of supporting us for the goodness of us to become good citizen that can surround or give positive attitude and again caring for others like shelterless people, orphans, widows and other people with different disabilities.”

AINEMBABAZI SHARON- “The message for the leaders is that I thank them for helping me and request you to continue supporting people who cannot manage themselves in order to develop our country social, economically and politically. Through supporting children we will overcome illiteracy in our country which creates and brings new skills to the student that are needed to enable them achieve their goals and move in line with their dreams.”

Why is giving back important?

NATUMANYA JONAS- “Giving back is important for example you have supported us so it enables us to support others like orphans, people with different problems, like disabled people mad people and sick people which promotes kindness sharing, unity, peace, co-operation, friendship and harmony. It’s also important to give back since even the bible command it that the hand that gives is the one that receives and that enable people to share keep cooperating with each other, helping needy and other. This results into well-being and improved standards of living.”

AINEMBABAZI SHARON- “Giving back is also important because the hand that gives is the hand that receives which means if you continue helping and supporting people everything of yours will be multiplied and also it poetries the Image to the people who supported you to continue supporting others because they know that those people that they are helping are also going to help others. Thank you so much.”
