In Uganda, over 3.2 million children are orphaned or abandoned, facing a future filled with hunger, disease, and a lack of opportunities. Many of these children live on the streets, with no access to education, healthcare, or even a safe place to call home. This is where you can make a difference. By sponsoring a child through Wilma Fox Child Development Centre, you can provide life-changing support and give these children the chance they deserve to thrive.
Here is part two of testimonials by the children assisted at Wilma Fox Children Centre.
What is your dream?
TALEMWA MABLE RITAH- “My name is Talemwa Mable Ritah aged 17. My dream is to become a midwife so that I can help people to give birth and make sure that they are in a healthy position and improve on their standards of living. I also need to vaccinate babies so that their bodies can be able to fight against diseases thus improving the immune system. And I also want to help others just as I was helped by Wilma Fox C.D.C.”
TUSIME ELIZABETH-“My name is Tusime Elizabeth, a student at Wilma Fox College. My dream is to put more emphasis on academics and study hard in order to become a doctor in my future, thus treating sick people and sharing with people on how they should live and what they should do to live a better life.”
How does Wilma Fox Child make a difference?
TALEMWA MABLE RITAH-“Wilma Fox Child Development Centre has helped me to go to school by giving me scholastic materials like books, pens, uniform, shoes and basic needs like food, shelter, education, health services which has enabled me to live a settled life in a well protected environment and it has allowed me to grow spiritually strong, to be God fearing and obeying elders. I really thank Wilma Fox for the great work it has done on me.”
TUSIME ELIZABETH-“Wilma Fox Child makes a difference by providing me with enough care such as food and education whereby we have enough professional teachers who have skills and experience in raising the capacity of a student. And also Wilma Fox Child makes a difference by providing us with good places where we can sleep, giving us enough health care by the time we become sick. Wilma Fox Child makes a difference by providing us with nice looking uniforms that we put on to look uniform and look smart in our school, of which others they cannot do so.”

What is your message?
TALEMWA MABLE RITAH-“The message for the readers is to encourage them to revise books so that to become critically thinking, innovative and creative. Readers should also be God fearing because wisdom starts from fearing God. They should also know their future careers so that it can be easy for them after studies. Lastly is to emphasize respect to the elders.”
TUSIME ELIZABETH-“The message for the leaders: I take this great opportunity to thank our leaders for the support they have given us, the heart of love they have shown us. I really appreciate even the messages, some advisable words you always tell us in order to put our minds on academics and so we excel in our future. We really appreciate you and promise you that we will not shame you and we will fight hard in order to achieve our goals and we will make it in Jesus’ name.”
Why is giving back important?
TALEMWA MABLE RITAH- “Giving back is important because it promotes honesty, faith, obedience, trustworthiness, kindness, unity, strength, love and cooperation among people. Giving back is important because it helps one to get blessings from God, to achieve a common goal and helps to become a brilliant person. Lastly, I really appreciate Wilma Fox Child Development Centre for the great work it has done on me through encouraging me to go to school and providing scholastic materials to me. Among the people and also builds cooperation among people.”
TUSIME ELIZABETH- “Giving back is important because when you also give or help others, you can receive blessings, and also giving back helps to improve other people’s standards of living. When someone gives, he/she also gets, so giving back helps to promote unity among people. Giving back promotes friendship.”
