What makes the band’s music and style unique?

“We do covers in our own way. Steve Listengart is a dynamic guitarist whose style of playing makes you feel like you are listening to a band. This provides a rhythmic and melodic backdrop for Heather’s powerful vocals. We are a small duo with a big sound.”

What are some performance venues worth mentioning?

“We have played at the Max’s, Barking Frog, The Chance, 18 North Grille, Eleven 11.”

If you could work with three top industry executives, who would you work with and why so?

“Rick Rubin, Mark Ronson, and Nigel Goodrich are all fantastic producers. They are able to help artists find the treasure lying inside a song and make it shine bright.”

How do the band members get along on and off the stage, discussing the dynamic between members?

“Steve and I met through us being neighbors. We started working together and we just clicked. The way we chose what covers we do is basically, what do we love? Who are our favorite artists. We both have a love for many different music styles and genres. We work incredibly well together. We are very in synch when we play together. Many times we can read what the other person is going to do, or what song to play next. We have been together for 12 years so we are more like family.”

Do you believe Willow Blue will be a hit success in years to come? Why and how so?

“I believe anything is possible! We have been playing together for 12 years and have been consistently playing out but would always love to play more. We do it for the love of it, and what is meant to will be. I always say this is my forever music duo. We are also in a band called Misfit Toys Band. Between the 2 projects, I plan to keep doing this as long as I am blessed to sing. Being a hit success was never the goal. The goal has been to do what I love, and the rest will fall into place.”

What makes Willow Blue unique in their photos?

“I loved how animated Heather was when she was performing, and she was a perfect with the acoustic guitar and acoustic bass guitar, the lighting at the venue was very good, I had shot there before and there was no lighting then so it’s a big improvement there.”

Would you recommend them to other venues and opportunities? Why and how so?

“I highly recommend Willow Blue, seasoned professionals, with a great sound, and don’t play the same old songs you hear other acts play.”
