When you find yourself facing crucial and important life decisions, how do you know when something you love to do is what you are destined for? Martyn Hale is a phenomenal actor who shows true acting potential in the industry despite a history of challenges in life. What defines acting for you and in terms of a level of true success? Why and how so?

“To me, what defines success for the actor is really determined by how the fans enjoy the film and how they feel about it after seeing it. On paper, everything looks good but what makes the difference is how it plays out once the show begins. True success is putting a smile on the audience’s face.”

Is there a preference you have in terms of film genre? Or do you feel eager and actively ready to take on any genre? Why so, if applicable?

“I prefer western and sports movies. I would love to do a western film one day.”

Has Covid had any impact on your life, whether positively or negatively? What does the pandemic signify for you, if at all?

“Covid has impacted the entire world. I lost a friend due to covid. I also know people who had covid and ended up overcoming the virus.”

What are two phrases that you feel resonate with your attitude, dedication, and determination professionally, whether it’s a phrase said by you or as a common quote? Why are these the two phrases of your choice, specifically?

“I didn’t come this far just to come this far.”. Another one I like is, “You Only Get One Shot.”.

What has been your inspiration, when you began acting and in today’s day? What kind of inspirational source is that, in detail?

“It was after we made the movie, Coldwater in Malibu, California. I felt very inspired and fell in love with acting. Three years after filming movies and commercials, I found myself in jail in Michigan. That was when I realized what my purpose in life is and how I needed to let go of certain habits in order for me to succeed. Today I am grateful and I believe in myself again.”
