Caswyn Moon is a songwriter who has captured the hearts of his many fans throughout the region. He is a man who lives outside of time where the spirits of the muses and the ancestors dwell. His soulful voice, beautiful melodies, and poetic lyrics evoke the melancholy of bittersweet memories.

What defines your style, if you have to pick a word that describes its entirety?

“Oddly Melancholic. Transcendentalism.”

Does playing guitar come as a means of satisfaction, or a challenge? How does this reflect when performing?
“Of course, it’s satisfying!

Music has always been my way to meditate and communicate, I’ve never been big on small talk, or very good at it, but I can sing to you and you’ll understand. I’ve been told I’m a quiet kind of guy in person.”

What began your inclination towards music, and why?

“I love the existence music has provided me, the people I’ve met, the places I’ve gotten to see all the experiences that come with it
Music is like stepping through an invisible door, it makes you feel elevated and not of this world.

That’s an addictive feeling, and it just stuck. I knew it’s what I wanted out of this incarnation.”

Is there a larger than life inspiration for you, and who or what might that be?
“My brother. He was my inspiration and my strongest driving force of nature. It’s been tough without him here. Also, Space.”

What is a strong and heartfelt message you would convey to anyone who needs new music or a great musical experience, so that they may buy your next album or see you live?
“I believe in keeping things on a tribal level, especially lately. The world can be so lonely and impersonal these days. However, if you listen to my lyrics, you won’t feel so alone in it. We’ve all felt your pain, love, happiness, loss, and gain, we’re in this together. If you come to a live show it’s like a reunion of friends, a tribe you’ve never met.

My message lately is… Stop thinking. Start Being.”

When you take on the task of photo shooting Caswyn Moon, is there anything that comes to mind regarding his edge or his character, based on what one might assume if they hear such a unique artist name for example? 

“As you said, my first thought was “WHAT A UNIQUE NAME”, and when I met him, he was a very down earth, professional…”

What inspires you to shoot Caswyn Moon, and is there an element of true artistic interpretation, or vibe? Does he play the part of being a unique artist, on whole terms, on and offset? Or is it a natural and flowing genius that he carries out through the shoot?

“Caswyn has a very different style, with very deep lyrics, he writes from the heart and when you hear him you can’t help but be drawn in.”
