In The Stars- 'Desperados' (And Other Single Releases) (Rock Band & Rising Talent) (September 2021)

When you start to make your dreams come true, truthfully, the sky is not the limit, we can go beyond that. In The Stars is a unique rock band, one of the most unique up to date, which flies and soars beyond this limitation, all the way to outer space, and further above. What inspired the beginning of the musical group, ‘In The Stars’?

“When I moved to Los Angeles, I started working at a Starbucks where I met another southern guy from Tennessee. I’m from Georgia. I was trying to move forward as a singer and I found out that he plays guitar; Maurice, our guitar player. I eventually decided to form a band.

The band currently consists of the following members, which includes Daxton Edwards on lead vocals, David Green on bass, Maurice Thomas on guitar, Marissa Johnson drums, and a soon to be seen new member, Camellia Dee on keys. “

When did you start to find yourself composing or creating music? At what age, or phase in your life? And by the band members as well?

“I wrote my first song a couple of months after learning some guitar chords. I wrote my first song with Maurice in 2006 at Starbucks where we worked together.”

Has Covid had an impact on your band? How so, and could you specify the details? Positively or negatively?

“Covid has slowed down an important EP recording and shifted the focus of the band. Certain members wanted to try and stop the band from doing anything; other members as well as myself refused to let anything stop us. Because feelings and ideas about this virus are so broad and different, it causes lots of tension. It has been negative because of the arguments, but it has been positive because it has yielded opportunities to grow through arguments and differing opinions. Also, most music venues were closed.”

What are the very top 3 songs you would present to the world, if for just 3 songs, the entire world would be listening?

““Desperados”, “Movin On”, and “From Me”.“

Is there a specific plan in the future for ‘In The Stars’? What does that include?

“First, let me say that we plan on marketing our song, ‘Desperados’ to the entire world. We seek to turn ‘In The Stars’ into a world stage phenomenon. We are going big!!!”
