Is there a lesson we can learn from not just ourselves, but from others and their experience? In fact, to fully establish yourself in any niche or any serious/professional market, one must not only have their own technique but the experience to match. Rose Emanuel has studied improv, comedy, and acting for years. In this guided and informative article, she tells us about her recent and quite promising aspirations in her field.
What are three words that describe your drive to succeed? What does true success mean? In a given time span, how successful do you see yourself, or aim to be?
“Three words to describe my drive to succeed are determination, positivity, and giving. To succeed, you need to have the willpower to head straight into the fire but you also have to be willing to help others along the way who are also fighting for the same goal as you. Giving is receiving. And of course, it should always come from your heart. I believe you never really achieve full success. You can always push yourself to do more, there’s never really an ending date for me. I see myself becoming extremely successful in accomplishing my dreams but also helping fuel others to accomplish theirs along with me.”
Has Covid had any impact on your schedule or routine? In a positive way, or negatively, or both? Why is this so?
“COVID has done both for me. It helped me end a cycle of work that I was pushed into for survival and given me an outlet to become financially stable while pursuing what I’m truly meant to be doing. It also pushed me to bust my ass and work the hardest I’ve ever worked before. I was very lucky during this pandemic. I couldn’t be more grateful.”
If you could perform a monologue in front of just two industry executives to pitch your acting to make it bigtime, what monologue would you perform, and to who, on a global scale, if offered this opportunity?
“My go-to monologue is Quint’s speech from Jaws. There’s something about that performance that is so gripping. It’s one of my favorite monologues in a movie and it’s about a damn shark. That’s insane. But the way it’s written is just brilliant. I would honestly perform it to anyone. In fact, I’m now inspired to go and film this with my acting coach and put it on tape!”
What is your favorite acting genre, and where would you like to be most occupied, in future projects if possible?
“I love comedy. I adore it. I studied improv for years I’m incredibly inspired by the writing style of I Love Lucy and of course, Lucille Ball herself. However, I’d love to be occupied with it all. I love the concept of range, and I believe I can portray range.”
Where can we find your works if someone wishes to do so?
“A lot of it is under wraps right now. I promise you by 2022 you’ll be seeing a lot more…”
Anything you would like to add here?
“Keep doing what you’re doing. Work your hardest and never stop. Change your mindset to positive. Positive thinking brings positive outcomes and always know you are worth every dream you wish to come true.”
