What is something that differentiates different talents from others? Often, it is my job to seek information from some of the most talented rising artists, actors, musicians, models, etc.Sushant Adlakha is an amazing model, film creative, and actor who reminds me there is a world out there, full of talented people.
What is the force, or the drive, that influences your day-to-day dedication and your will to succeed in this difficult yet rewarding industry? How so?
“The urge to speak. There’s definitely a strong desire to say something, hoping it makes people happy (at the very least). Acting and film is, in my opinion, a unique way of expressing an idea in an effective way… Also, being too insecure and confused about how to be direct with the ones around you can accentuate this urge to speak in a wayward fashion.”
What are three words that describe you and your passion or craft, in specific detail? Is there a meaning behind these chosen words, and why so?
“Empathy – You can’t collaborate with others in a creative way and you can’t get others to pay attention to your work without empathy. Energy – Working as an actor requires energy and energizes me. I’m usually pretty tired, so this work has saved my life. Love – It’s cliché, but I love what it is and I love the act of making it what it is.”
“I’ve always wanted to do film, nothing seemed nearly as exciting to me. I always envisioned it as part of my future, but it was only in my early 20’s that I learned I actually had to try.”
Would you define yourself as successful, and what does the ultimate and also the impactful status of being successful in one’s career mean to you? What is the true meaning of success?
“I am successful because I am moving forward. If I’m able to do that, being happy, I have to trust that the “grand” things I hope to achieve will happen.”
Has Covid had any effect on your motivation and your routine daily, as a model and actor?
“COVID both hurt and helped the process. While meeting with others, the most essential part of any creative project was hindered, it allowed me to re-focus, plan and plot the next project that I could cast myself in.”
Where can someone find your work, or learn more about it if they wish to do so?
“People can find my work on my website, Instagram or IMDb. They can also always reach out to me.”
Anything you feel is important to add here?
“Keep at it! Most of my days are complicated and difficult to explain to an outsider, but it’s obviously because it’s too fun to be true.”
