Nainesh Patel- Aiming High! (Acting & Modeling) (July 2021)

Issue Fifteen- July 2021:

By Mercedes Barreto

To have a calling, a dream, and a purpose, are things sought out for in life. What motivates us as beings of tough, mirroring, and rather angled life formulas, and seemingly perplexed destinies, to finally decide, ‘This is it! This is the one, my purpose!”? Nainesh Patel says he has found his calling, and in this guided article, he explains to us why modeling and acting have completed him, and how this insight might help us in that journey to asserting one’s destiny.

What would be your perfect interpretation of an ideal runway show, if you had to runway model on your own terms, regarding your experience in the area, and your taste? Is this something you have considered, regarding your artistic and fashion vision, if this applies? What would be your ideal fashion show?

“My perfect interpretation of an ideal runway show would be in the city of Nice, France, because I feel France is the capital of fashion other than Milan, Italy. Nice, France has this beauty you can’t take your eyes off of, along with the backdrop of the ancient architecture and the beauty of the French Riviera and the Mediterranean Sea with its beautiful waters and the ocean breeze.

I would love to have upcoming fashion designers that are just starting out in today’s fashion, to have their fashion worn by all the models, all shapes and sizes. I have a vast taste in fashion as I am a fashion model myself and I wear today’s fashion all the time.”

When did you get started with modeling? What was the big ‘Aha’ moment, when you either realized your talent or got your big break?

“I got started with modeling in June 2019 when I auditioned for New York Fashion Week in NYC. The big moment was when I actually got selected to walk the runway at the fashion show, and I knew N.YF.W. was a big deal in fashion. This takes place every year right after the Labor Day weekend in September of every year for the showcasing of the current fall/winter and also upcoming fashion trends. Once I walked the runway, that’s when I realized my talent and I was like “WOW!” This is it…This is my calling, and this is the fashion show where I got my big break!”

Do you have a sincere passion for acting? What is that like?

“This is a great question. And yes, I have a sincere passion for acting. Once, I got chosen to be on a short film, called Glimpses A Day in the Life, written by Betsy Sanders and directed by Alan Del. There, I had my very first experience in the acting industry.

It was so much fun being on set filming in different locations in New Jersey, and yes, it included long days of filming, but it was well worth it. Also, I have been on set for two other films in which I had fun as well. One in which is a series about the pandemic that we are still going through, and I played a bad boy resident in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx, where I was telling these adult teens to put their masks on or get beaten up by me. The series is called “Mask No Mask”, and the other just wrapped up filming on July 15th, 2021 and that lasted 5 days, 18 hour days in Oyster Bay Long Island, and I played an employee of a mob boss and his partner, called Dragon Squad Gangs of NY.

Filming is fun and exhausting at the same time because you have to go through take after take until the scene is perfect. Also, messing up lines is common, as we are only human, and even big “A” listers in Hollywood can and will mess up their lines because there are so many lines to memorize. But at the end of the day, it is well worth it to be filming, and it is also great to do networking while on set, because you may never know who you’re actually interacting with as you may get a bigger role and get chosen for your next project while on set.”

How has Covid affected your passion, drive, and career? In a positive light, or in a negative constraint?

“Covid has not affected my passion, my drive, and my career.

It has been in a positive light because even though Hollywood and all major production were halted in 2020, I still got many auditions via backstage.com and it was all solely done via virtual via zoom video auditions. I also got some great bookings for modeling. Of course, masks and covid tests were required 24-48 hours before call time, but I feel that modeling gigs and tv/film production did an excellent job following all CDC guidelines.”

Where can the common individual learn more about your career, and your craft, if they wish to do so? Why should they?

“Anyone can follow my Instagram page (@nainesh4175) for all things modeling and entertainment, and look me up on Facebook with my full name, Nainesh Patel.

The reason why they should do so is if they want to know what I am doing, and to gain that aspiration and motivation, and to follow their dreams and passion, they could ask me for any pointers and that helps them get into the business. I did this recently for my best friends Yojansi Taveras and Vernon Loria, and as well as my good friend Jayesh Rana, in which I got them signed by my agent, Patricia Pinto and her daughter Monica Pinto from LaCreme, who represent me and still do as of today.

We are like family and they treat me like their own. I am also on IMDB, so just look me up and you will see my credits there. Since I got discovered, I have motivated a lot of my friends and even family to follow their dreams in modeling, acting, and even singing.”

Could you list for the publication, three words in detail describing your hopes, dreams, and aspirations for your working future? In a given time span which you envision?

“Never give up/Follow your dreams/and make them come true.

Three years from now, I would love to be in a major motion picture and be on stage at the Oscars or Emmy’s either accepting an award or presenting an award on live television.”

Anything else you feel you must add here?

“Yes. Once again, never ever give up hope! Keep trying your best until the day you get discovered and from there on out, the only way is up….you have to crawl before you walk, walk before you run, and once you run, keep running to the stars AIM High!!!

Look up to the sky and pick a star and that will be your star, but you have to reach for it.”
